Vines
Severe
and careful pruning of the vines contribute to a very low production
: only eight or nine hectoliters per hectare - or just one glass
for each plant!
The
Sémillon vine variety is pruned into côts:
on average, each plant has three spurs, each of which having
only two buds. The Sémillon vine variety provides the
wine with its beautiful golden color, its clearness, its finesse,
its vigor and its mellowness.
As for
the Sauvignon vine variety, it yields a superb, full-bodied and
very flavorful wine that also has a lovely golden color.
This variety
is pruned just as severely, using the six-bud Guyot simple pruning
method. |
